Synopsis:

Welcome Aboard the Galaxiana 7.  We plan to have a relaxing flight to Weejus 7 with no major interruptions.  The key word being “plan.”  Our bridge crew are well-trained in all aspects (including tryingto contain the Captain, and on a related note, preventing the ship from exploding), so we should have everything under control.  If things get rough or boring, music is always an option.  Though, music could be the reason why some things are rough.  I mean, have you heard the operas from the planet Lpikia?  It’s like they’re trying to hurt our ears.  And they’re always about cheese.  “Cheese” this, and “cheese” that, your arteries get clogged just by thinking—oh, I should probably get back to the story.  Ahem.

“Space Issues” is a science fiction musical comedy which subtly pokes fun at science fiction, musicals, and the various clashes prevalent in any multicultural society.  Some of the influences are from the Office, Star Trek, Monty Python, Futurama, Red Dwarf, and the music is influenced by Broadway, progressive rock (particularly the band Gentle Giant), Ben Folds Five, and the more avant-garde composing styles of the 20th century.

Rated PG for imagery of graphic cheese and pun use.

YouTube Videos

I've made a few YouTube videos of songs from the musical:

SOUP Anthem

The crew needs to kill some time while refueling, so they honor their interplanetary union through song.

Code Red Song

The siren goes off, and the beat is just so catchy.
